Photography- and sea eagle safari with the Night Sailors

Picnic lunch on board

Norwegian nature means fjords and archipelagos, blue crystal-clear ocean and Nordic wildlife. Exactly what you get on a safari at Hitra. The best way to experience it all is by drifting out on the ocean in an old wooden boat. Remember to bring your camera to get some amazing shots of the sea eagle closing in over our heads, the deer running on the islands surrounding the fjord, or a porpoise peeking up of the water. We bring some lunch on board to have a picnic with local produce in the open nature. A guide will follow you through the tour.

Program

8.10 to 9.50
Coastal express Trondheim-Hitra.

09.50 to 10.30
Bus transfer from the terminal at Sandstad to Hopsjø Coast and Culture Center.
Guide is included on both the boat trip and the bus.

10.45 to 12.30
We go out on the fjord called Frøyfjord between the islands of Hitra and Frøya. Then we get to experience the flying king of the sea up close. We sail out in an old wooden boat restored by the Night Sailors at Hopsjø Coast and Cultural Center. Both the boats and the area have a lot of exciting history that the Night Sailors are happy to tell about. We scout for sea eagles and other animals, suddenly appearing on some of the small islands that surround the fjord or sail over our heads.

A trip with the night sailors is a great experience with good opportunities to get some amazing photos.
Picnic lunch is served on board the boat.
